I have been busy,  I have been ignoring my sites.

This whole getting married thing is a lot of work and MONEY.  anyway.  I just wanted to state that I am still here just busy doing other things.  After Sept, hopefully the posts will pick back up.

I have deleted some of the old sponsored post and I will probably not do them again.  It is too much work and I have other things to do with my time.

I made a few tweeks and Hopefully this site will start being crawled again my google,  but I don’t care.  this blog is for me.

We are Now on the new server and with a new template. Google page rank be damed, My traffic is going up and adsense this week is one of the best yet.

Not all the functions of this new template work yet.  I am working On getting the things that I need transferred over.  i am also working of things for my new blog that seem to be going pretty good.  i am just trying to get ahead of the posts so I can take some time off.

While there has been talk about Google going after paid links, but it was thought they were not going after blogs. Unless it is just a temporary glitch, I can attest to the fact that they are going after blogs.

This site has had a Google PR of 3 for over a year. 2 weeks ago I added a couple of sponsored posts. Tonight my page rank is now 0

The Migration to the new server is almost complete. All the posts are up on the new server.
I used the Word press export then import feature. It went really easy, I am just now transferring the themes and plugins. I have to copy them all to my PC then upload them to the new server.

My Goals for this site have changed once again. I now own blogs on other sites that are specific to certain topics. I know that my other blogs will take up all the free writing time that I have. That will leave me with no time to write for this site.

What will become of Danpereda.com? Well it will stay exactly where it is and how it is. I will only be putting things on here that do not fit my other blogs, so I would image that my postings will drop off to two to four posts a month.

I find it really hard for me to put this blog on the back burner, mainly cause it gives me endless freedom to write about what I want and It is the highest ranking blog that I work on right now(my other blogs are brand new).

What will my posts be about in the future? If I were to guess it would still be about my life, but alos the work I am doing on my other blogs.

I had been using the adsense deluxe plugin from acmetech.com for years. Last night after upgrading wordpress the plugin stopped working. I found it has been upgraded by blogetery.com http://blogetery.com/blog/adsense-deluxe2/

The new plug in works just like the old one at first. I have not had a chance to open of the php file yet, but here are the things that I think need work after using it for only a few hours.

1.The first thing I noticed is that it automatically puts an ad on every post and I have not found a way to turn this feature off with out turning off other ads.
2. On the home page it only shows 3 ads on the entire page and I have not found a way to adjust it. While I know this is in line with the adsense TOS, I used this tool for other things besides adsense. For example to get around issue #1 I created a blank ad as default, but it still will not display more than 3.
3. Lack of documentation. All the functions of this plugin, what it does, how it works, or how to change it are missing.

Overall it does what I want it to do and I hope after digging in to the code I can find how to make it perfect for me.

I have been using an older version of word press out of laziness. Tonight I upgraded all my blogs to the latest version. During the upgrade of this site I lost all my widgets. I am in the process of rebuilding them, but it might take a few days.

I also lost most of my ads that and embedded in the posts, loosing money is not good I had to upgrade my adSense plugin, I got some of the ads back, but they are appearing in to wrongs posts, I have to figure out how to manage the new plugin.

Also something happened during the back up and alot of the dates are not correct.

We have taken on a new site sponsor, We will see how both They like the site and How I like them.

I have been away for a while working on other projects. I am trying to get back in to blogging on a more regular basis. I am guessing that my first few blog entries back will kinda boring, but please hold out and expect to see them pick back up with useful information.

And lastly to coincide with the new business we are also launching a race team.

I travel full time for a living and the worst thing about traveling is packing. Trying to get my entire life crammed in to two suit cases is very frustrating. I am not very good at folding and I found on the web how to make a folding machine. I took that basic idea and I think I improved on it. I also decided to record me designing and building the machine.

Supplies Needed
2 20″x30″ foam board (1 dollar each at the dollar store) or you can use scrap card board.
Heavy duty tape
Cutting device (box cutter)
Ruler
Pen or Marker

Panel A is 7.5 Inches by 30 Inches (you need 2 panels A s)
Panel B is 9 Inches by 12 Inches
Panel C is 9 Inches by 18 Inches

I use foam board because I didn’t have and cardboard and the slicker surface helps.

*** Cutting devices should only be used by adults.
*** Please make sure you don’t cut or ruin what is underneath the material your cutting.
