I love my Dropbox , but Google Drive  and Microsoft metformin hydrochloride 1000 mg Sky Drive launched today with much flair.  They are both about half the price of Dropbox, but my love for Dropbox is the easy folder integration, I have to test if these new services are as easy. The big concern no one is talking about, is the fine print and this would make me run from Google and give Microsoft a bug hug (and my money)

Google ToS: “When you upload or otherwise submit content to our Services, you give Google (and those we work with) a worldwide license to use, host, store, reproduce, modify, create derivative works (such as those resulting from translations, adaptations or other changes we make so that your content works better with our Services), communicate, publish, publicly perform, publicly display and distribute such content.”

Microsoft SkyDrive ToS: “Except for material that we license to you, we don’t claim ownership of the content you provide on the service. Your content remains your content. We also don’t control, verify, or endorse the content that you and others make available on the service.”

I use Go Daddy as my domain site and a while ago they starting giving free Linux hosting (and Windows) with every domain name.

Since I get Free Hosting with Every Domain I thought I would test it out by thowing up a quick wordpress site.  I put up the 2nd domain I ever bought Pereda.org.

A decade or so ago pereda.org was a family tree website for my family,  I became paranoid about all that info in the open and took down the site.  I am not sure what the site will become, but it is my testing ground for now.

I have  been committing the worst thing any blogger can do,  I have been ignoring my sites. :(

I know I have been bad, but life as gotten in the way.  I Have been SUPER Busy.

I am working about 11 hours a day on my job. I also have been really packing on the traveling miles.  In the past 3 months, I have spent exactly one weekend at home.  Admittedly most of my time wasting was self inflicted by my  racing habit in Feb and March.  I was also out of the country for work for about 4 weeks.

Anyway, back to the grindstone….  and hopefully more frequent blog posts.

I have some real brain drain and reading this over here to pick me up.

How long would it take you to spend $1,000,000,000?

If you spent a thousand dollars an hour ($1,000).

That is 24 thousand dollars a day ($24,000).

That is over 8,7 million dollars a year ($8,760,000)

It would still take you longer than you will live.

It would take 114.16 years.

That is a long time, long, long, time

WOW! lots of feedback on my original post Sani Tred Vs Drylock

I think it is funny how some people read my post get different viewpoints out of it.

  • I think Sani-Tred is a good solid product, but for me it was not DIY weekend worrier friendly. For me I got acceptable results from Drylock with with much less effort and cost.
  • Where ever I have since put a hold in the Sani-tred, I do get water leaking there, so I know it is doing’s job.
  • In regards to the recent Hurricanes in the Northeast. Yes I got water in my basement.  The ground was so wet it seemed to come up from through the floor.  That said it only affected the unfinished side of my basement (where I have know water problems.)
